Manitou Group unveils a new telehandler model at the ARA SHOW, the event focused on equipment rental in New Orleans. The Manitou MTA 519 is also available in a Gehl version under the name TH 5-19. The MTA 519 has been designed to meet the needs of as many users as possible, with step-free access to the cab, an ergonomic dashboard and excellent visibility.

ACCESS INTERNATIONAL (United Kingdom) - December 2023 

Manitou Group has signed up to the FRET 21 charter, which aims to reduce the carbon footprint of inbound and outbound road transport from France to Europe. The group is committed to integrating transport into its sustainable development strategy, with the aim of reducing the greenhouse gas (GHG) generated by road transport by 8% by 2025.

OEM OFF HIGHWAY (United States) - October 2023

Manitou Group inaugurates the 80,000 sq ft expansion of its plant in Madison, South Dakota. This event coincides with the 50th anniversary of this plant dedicated to the production of skid-steer loaders. The assembly line is thus enlarged, enabling all assembly processes to occur within the same building, promoting greater productivity.

VERTIKAL.NET (Germany) - September 2023

A year after the construction of its second rough-terrain aerial work platforms plant, Manitou Group is investing €60 million on a new mechanical welding workshop in the “Petit Tesseau” industrial zone of Candé. This project is aimed at increasing production capacity. Work will begin in 2024 and is scheduled for completion in early 2026.

Manitou Group inaugurates a new spare parts logistics center over 8,300 m² in Greater Noida, India. This new center meets the Group’s strong ambitions to develop its production and distribution activities in this area. Manitou Group inaugurates new shipping docks and an area dedicated to the final inspection of machines produced in Ancenis, France. The 3.7 million euro investment is aimed at improving the safety of employees and providers while modernizing and optimizing loading and unloading operations for carriers. The new facilities are the results of strong business growth and an increased flow of trucks.

The SPACE 2023 exhibition, that takes place from 12 to 14 September in Rennes, France, is organizing the INNOV’SPACE 2023 Award. CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT GUIDE (United States) - June 2023

Manitou Group wins a trophy in the “decarbonization” category during the 2023 Sustainable Industry Awards organized by the French media ‘l’Usine Nouvelle”. This award recognizes the group for its R&D approach on hydrogen, in particular the development of two prototypes of telehandlers running on green hydrogen. The company is committed to promoting the French hydrogen industry and has partnered with local producers of green hydrogen. During the "International Awards for Powered Access" (IAPA) ceremony in Berlin, Manitou Group won the "Product of the Year" award with the Manitou 160 ATJ+e rough terrain electric aerial work platform in the "Self Propelled Booms & Atrium Lifts" category. The panel of experts justifies this award thanks to the possibility of combining alternative energy and high basket capacity up to 408 kg.

To improve the life cycle of telehandlers and other machines, from design to production. Manitou Group chose Siemens' Teamcenter solution. This software simplifies and streamlines product design on a global scale. In addition to Teamcenter, Manitou Group also chose to use NX software as a CAD (computer-aided design) tool. The modernization of these tools optimizes the time spent on product development by using a single tool that centralizes the entire product life cycle.

Manitou Group opens a new automated system for its parts center. The system, supplied by Mecalux, is set to increase productivity of high-turnover small parts, which account for nearly 16,000 references. Today, with only two operators, this system accommodates more than 20,000 containers on 560 m², enabling the process of 500 order lines per hour.

SOFART (Denmark) - January 2023

The French company Neoline, with which Manitou Group has been involved since 2020, is bringing to fruition its project for a ro-ro cargo ship powered mainly by wind energy.
The 136-meter vessel will have a cargo capacity of 5,300 tons of cargo and will be equipped with a rigging system provided by Chantiers de l'Atlantique. The wind-powered cargo ship will sail from Saint-Nazaire (France) to Baltimore (United States) starting in 2025.

LE JOURNAL DES ENTREPRISES (France) - January 2023

Manitou Group has announced sales of €2.36 billion in 2022, an increase of 26% over the previous year and is already forecasting a further increase of more than 20% in 2023. At the end of 2022, the group presented the first telehandler equipped with a green hydrogen fuel cell. The company was announcing its ambition to combine electric and hydrogen-powered products according to the applications of each user, with a target of "43% of low-emission products sold by 2030".
