Q3 Sales increase 6% at constant exchange rates and scope

 

- Sales in Q3 2013 of €282 million, a decrease of 2% versus Q3 2012

- Cumulative 9-month sales of €873 million, a decrease of 9% versus September 2012

- Cumulative 9-month sales decreased 4% at constant scope (Toyota) and exchange rates

- Q3 order intake of 6,500 units versus 6,300 units in Q3 2012

- Strengthening of partnerships with Yanmar

Yanmar and Manitou strengthen their strategic alliance through a capital investment link and plan for expanded distribution throughout Mexico and Latin America 

 

Yanmar announced today that it has acquired 6.26% of the capital and voting rights of Manitou BF. The shares were acquired from the French bank Société Générale. This shareholding investment comes as the two groups enhance their strategic alliance, expanding cross distribution into Mexico and Latin America. 

Manitou families and management are very pleased of the transaction and see it as a very positive development.

Manitou on “Tour" in North America Focusing on Mines,  Quarries, Oil and Gas and Construction Industries. 

 

As part of its " Red strategy ", Manitou Americas a Manitou Group subsidiary, has set off on the Red Tour, traveling across the United States and Canada to host live demonstrations for dealers and customers. These demonstrations show the versatility of the Manitou MHT Series Heavy Telescopic Handlers, MRT Series Rotating Telescopic Handlers and specialty attachments.

- Gehl skid loaders were first manufactured in July 1973 in Madison, South Dakota

EMA II: The new generation of Manitou articulated site forklifts towards greater storage capacity 

 

In 2012, the Manitou Group generated 29% of its turnover on industrial markets. Its IMH division (Industrial Material Handling) confirmed the group’s position in the world’s leading market for material handling. 

As part of its lift trucks options designed for industrial markets, the Manitou Group is launching its all new EMA II range of articulated site forklifts; a complete range of seven models which combine ease of use with efficiency in order to optimise storage capacity.
